The Central Park Five

I’ve had the privilege of watching The Central Park Five by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns and David McMahon at the 51st Ann Arbor Film Festival. The documentary tells the story of five New York City teens (McCray, Richardson, Salaam, Santana, Wise) that were wrongfully convicted of the assault and rape of Trisha Meili and how they were essentially forced to give false confessions by the New York Police.

I highly recommend watching this beautiful, brutally honest and sincere documentary, and supporting the cause that comes with it. You can find out more information about the story at The Central Park Five’s official facebook page.
