James Montour was born in 1993. In 2011, he received a degree in Digital Media Arts and a Certificate in Computer Programming from Washtenaw Community College and in 2014 received a Bachelor of Fine Arts – Entertainments Arts from the College for Creative Studies majoring in Video Art and Production.

Montour has already had pieces in film festivals and exhibitions, including “Day of Light” at the International Broke Student Film Festival, Lawrence Tech University, Southfield, Michigan, where it won an award for Best Cinematography. “Day of Light” was also screened at the Windsor International Film Festival’s Short Film Program.

In mid-2013 he started his own business and is working on his thesis film. Montour currently lives in the Michigan Downriver area, and works all over southeast Michigan.
